Carleton Place ON

The Carleton Place Waterworks building was built in 1914 and is located at 199 John Street down by the south shore of the Mississippi River. 

The Carleton Place Roundhouse was first constructed in 1872 by the Canada Central, Brockville, and Ottawa railways. It operated until 1939 and was occupied by the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers a year later in 1940.

This building served as the round house and engine repair shop for the CPR until 1939.
