Item Description
An engineering assessment carried out on behalf of the City of Ottawa by J. L. Richards and Associates Limited, Consulting Engineers and Planners, on the technical state of the 1958 Old Ottawa City Hall. This assessment was used as input to a decision whether to renovate the building or knock it down, as part of the plan to build a new Ottawa City Hall. In the end they renovated the building and built an addition (designed by Moshe Safdie) which was opened in 1992.
