At the time of publication, much debate had ensued as to the future of the Ottawa city hall. To some, the 29-year-old structure was seen as a significant public landmark and to others, as a faulty building with ventilation and structural problems. Whatever the outcomes of the city councils vote, the cost was estimated at approximately $60 million.
