A building report written by Jacqueline Hucker that delivers thorough explanations and detailing of the Dominion Observatory of Ottawa and its surrounding South Azimuth and Photo Equatorial buildings. The current Dominion Observatory was built between 1902-1904, during the office of Sir Wilfrid Laurier. The designs were created by Chief Architect, David Ewart, for an establishment to function as a survey, research, analysis and application center for astronomy, meridian work, and geophysics. Hucker equally discusses the architectural, scientific and biographical histories of the building.
