Ross and Macfarlane

The Hotel Macdonald, now known as the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald, is a Chateauesque-style hotel built by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway in 1915.

The Chateau Laurier is located downtown and overlooks the Rideau Canal locks, the Ottawa River and Major's Hill Park.  The hotel consists of 429 guest rooms, a main dining room, an Empire style ballroom, a Wedgewood- blue Adam Room and the drawing
